Picture of Larry Paiz   Larry Paiz has been a Texas Certified Shorthand Reporter since 1979 and has been a Stenograph Certified Independent Training Agent since 1992. He has trained reporters on a variety of CAT programs and conducts introduction, intermediate, and advanced training sessions for freelance and official reporters, scopists, students, firms, as well as software presentations at conferences throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Larry is a graduate of the Stenograph Institute of Texas and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Texas Tech University.

Larry is past Campus Director for the Court Reporting Institute of Dallas.

Picture of Al Betz   Al Betz was an Official Court Reporter in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland for seven years.  In 1977 Al formed his court reporting and litigation support business today known as Al Betz & Associates, Inc.   

Al was a pioneer in the development of Computer Assisted Transcription (CAT).  In 1973 he was invited by the Federal Judicial Center to participate in a pilot program to test the efficacy of CAT in the United States Courts.   

Al is the author of five books.  He and his family formed Outfluence, LLC in 2008 to offer coaching, training, and public speaking to teens, families, and other audiences interested in improving communication and inspiring personal and professional performance.
