• DICTIONARY BUILDING: The dictionary offers vocabulary from a wide array of subjects everyone should have in their dictionary. Be ready for any assignment. This section is currently under construction. Some lists are available in written form only. We are in the process of making audio lists available.

• JOBS/CLASSIFIED/FORUMS/CHAT/NETWORKING: Find out who is hiring, offer your services, buy/sell equipment, network and connect with your colleagues, inspire and mentor students.

EARN CEUs - HOW IT WORKS

• All licensed members of Stenographers World are eligible to earn CEUs. Click here to become a licensed member.

• Stenographers World will send proof of your participation in preapproved webinars to NCRA, entitling you to receive the CEUs applicable to the webinar.

• As a licensed member of Stenographers World, there is NO LIMIT to the number of preapproved and prequalified webinars you can attend. Your licensed membership entitles you to all webinars, as well as all other benefits of Stenographers World.

• After participating in a webinar that has been “prequalified” by NCRA for CEUs, you will receive confirmation of attendance, as well as a pass/fail test result if applicable, to be mailed to NCRA along with the appropriate NCRA application fee (current fee to NCRA: NCRA Member - $40; NCRA Non-Member - $50).

• Replays will be available in the “Replay” and/or “Past Events” tabs under the “Webinars” section of Stenographers World. NOTE: If the “live” event was “preapproved” for CEUs by NCRA, it will not be “preapproved” during the replay. It will, however, be “prequalified” for CEUs by NCRA or “pending” prequalification for CEUs by NCRA.

• In addition, some webinars may have a $10 speaker fee associated with the replay.

• NCRA awards continuing education credits based upon content and clock hours of study. Clock hours are measured in 30-minute increments with a minimum of 60 minutes per session. Most webinars that Stenographers World offers will be 60 minutes in length, equal to 0.10 CEU. The CEU credit will be posted next to each event in the “Upcoming Events” tab under the “Webinars” section.
